80年代中ごろから現代ジュエリーに興味を持ちはじめ、90年代の終わりころから紙を使って「ジュエリー」を制作するようになりました。きっかけはゴミ箱の中で見つけた紙の切りくずです。以来、紙で立体を構築する方法に着目しながら「ジュエリー」を制作しています。貴重で高価なイメージを連想させるジュエリーに紙のイメージを重ね合わせることによって、触発的なコミュニケーションが促され、鑑賞者の価値観に変化がもたらされるといいなと思っています。

I started to be interested in contemporary jewelry in the mid 80's, and started making "jewelry" using paper in the late 90's. The trigger was a scrap of paper I found in a trash can. Since then, I have been thinking about "jewelry" while focusing on the method of constructing three-dimensional objects with paper. By superimposing the image of paper on jewelry that is associated with precious and expensive images, I expect that stimulating communication will be induced, and that a change for the audience's sense of values will be provided.
